In 2022, Mitchell – then aged 14 – raised more than £46,000 by raffling two tickets for Rangers’ Europa League final clash against Frankfurt in Seville.

The kind-hearted youngster is now seeking to raise funds for two children’s charities.

JDRF is a Type-1 Diabetes research charity and Caudwell Children helps disabled and autistic kids across the UK.

The raffle will be held online through Crowdfunder as Mitchell, from Dundee, looks to raise £50,000.

He plans to split the money evenly between the two charities that are close to his heart.

Mitchell’s younger sister has Type-1 Diabetes and he wishes to help JDRF for the support its offered her.

He said: “When I decided to raffle the Europa League Final tickets although I knew the tickets were in demand, I never dreamed I’d raise almost £50,000 for charity.

“Since that draw I’ve always wanted to do another, and when I managed to get tickets to the opening match of the Euro 2024 tournament, I knew I had the potential to do more good.

“The two charities I have picked to support once again are close to our family; JDRF because of the support they gave my little sister when she was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes, and Caudwell Children because we have seen the work they do and how many people they help.”

Mitchell added: “I managed to raise an incredible £46,880 when I raffled the Europa League Final tickets, so as these are Scotland tickets, for the opening game of the tournament, against the hosts, I’m hoping to raise even more.”

The raffle went live on Crowdfunder this morning and those interested in landing the much sought after tickets can donate £20 to enter.

People can purchase multiple entries and the draw will close on May 30 at 10am.

Earlier this year we told how the young Light Blues supporter bought a Rangers bar in Benalmadena in the Costa del Sol, Spain.
