Dave Nevison: my free horse racing tips for Thursday

Betting expert Dave Nevison is sweet on a trio in action at Carlisle and Wincanton. Watch how they fare live on Racing TV.
1.40 Carlisle: Mount South
Seemed to appreciate the drop to handicap company and a step up in trip last time. He was a good third to Barrier Peak, who was completing a four timer in a race that has already since produced a winner. Mount South wasn’t a bad bumper horse and has definitely been campaigned with handicaps in mind over hurdles. He was backed into third favourite last time and landed the place money, at least, without being knocked about. He looks as though the stiff track at Carlisle will suit him very well and, hopefully, he can stay on well up the hill here.
2.40 Wincanton: Bluffmeifyoucan
Beat a horse now running off marks in the 130s last backend at Exeter and, on that running, is ridiculously well handicapped off a mark of 103 here. He ran three stinkers immediately after that very good effort, that has led to his mark tumbling, but he signalled he was coming back to form on his latest run at Fontwell, when a good second. His trainer, Susan Gardner, had a winner with her latest runner, so it looks like the stable is in form. If he backs up his latest run, I fancy he will take some stopping.
2.50 Carlisle: Glittering Love
Is generally consistent and ran well last time after a seasonal appearance over hurdles. This is a competitive event but he has a good chance of winning again here. His latest win came over course and distance with Brian Hughes – back aboard here – in the saddle, so he has plenty going for him here.
