Airline bosses confirmed the new flights would appear on departure boards next year.

The flights will be added to BA Cityflyer’s schedule and will be leaving from Edinburgh Airport.

Globetrotting Scots will be able to fly directly to popular holiday destinations in Italy and Spain.

BA will fly passengers directly to San Sebastian, in Spain’s incredible Basque country.

The city is renowned for its breathtaking seaside views, stunning beaches and world-class food.

Planes will also be heading to Olbia, on the Italian island of Sardinia, which boasts a vibrant culture, bustling local markets and idyllic beaches with crystal clear waters.

Airline bosses confirmed flights will be running every week from May 25 until August 24.

They will be taking off every Saturday throughout the summer.

Both routes will operate on the 98-seat Embraer 190 aircraft with two cabins: business class Club Europe and economy Euro Traveller.

And tickets will be on sale for £84 each way.
