NFL world reacts to massive Tom Brady news

Even though seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL last month, that hasn’t stopped the speculation that he could still return for another season – especially after Brady retired last year and then came out of retirement just a few weeks later. But Brady appears to have shut down that possibility with a simple tweet about a kitten on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier this week, sports personality Rich Eisen shared several rumors he heard during his time at the NFL Combine. And those rumors included a shocking claim that Tom Brady might not actually be done playing in the NFL, after all. But as it turns out, Brady himself doesn’t really see that as a possibility as he addressed those rumors in a rather hilarious tweet.
“Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter,” Brady said in a tweet.

It’s a very comical but still quite important update on the situation, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter as a result.

This is how it starts. Before you know it, @TomBrady‘s gonna have 12 of them, and a t-shirt with the first one on it. https://t.co/XUux5uwI1J

I used to hate Tom Brady as a player. But now he’s growing on me on social media. https://t.co/7xXFTQbgnc

My guy probably wouldn’t have to report to work until August if he didn’t want to. I have confidence that most people could get their two month old cat self-sufficient enough to start a taxing job in five months’ time. https://t.co/nxkbMMebv1

While there’s nothing exactly stopping him from returning to the league even despite this tweet, this is a pretty clear indication that he plans to stay retired.
