Lawrence Shankland spoke to BBC Scotland after his two goals helped Hearts beat Airdrieonians and progress to the last eight of the Scottish Cup.
On Hearts form: “It feels like we’re finding ways to win, even when it’s tight. The momentum we’ve got just now is great.
On his goals: “I just ran on to [the first] and stuck it away. When I got closer I knew I was going to try and lift [the second] over the keeper.
“We always do finishing in training. I’m probably one of the worst in training. Right now I seem to be getting my misses out of the way in training and scoring in games.”
On Scotland hopes: “Of course I need to think about that and do as well as I can.”
On his future: “I’m quite happy here, I’ve got 18 months left on my contract and I’m enjoying it.”
