Team News: Under-18 Side For Scottish Youth Cup Final

Published

STEVIE SMITH has named his Rangers Under-18s side to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Youth Cup final at Hampden Stadium this evening.

The young Gers are bidding to add an eighth Youth Cup crown in the Academy’s history and third in the last four editions, with three changes made to the side which defeated Dundee United in a penalty shootout in the last four.

It means Mason Munn makes his third start between the posts in the competition this season, behind a backline comprising captain Leyton Grant, Jack Wyllie and Connor Campbell.

Zander Hutton and Cameron Scott will provide the width on the flanks, while Kerr Robertson is joined in midfield by Paul Nsio.

In attack, Findlay Curtis, who netted from the spot in last season’s final, will have license to drift, with Archie Stevens and Josh Gentles tasked with providing the finishing touch.

Among the substitutes for the Light Blues at the national stadium are Alfie Halliwell, Arran Kerr, Calum Adamson, Blaine McClure, Callum Burnside, Kieron Willox and Chris Eadie.

Kick-off at Hampden Stadium is 7:05pm and the game is live on BBC Scotland.
