A number of users on TikTok were quick to tell those taking on the route to “plan ahead”.

Another user going by the name of robbieroams (who has even written his own NC500 guidebook) also helpfully shared some places worth adding to your itinerary. 

He recommended visiting the Black Isle, The Big Burn, The Whaligoe Steps, the Kylesku Bridge and the Wailing Widow Falls.
