After a three-game slate to kick off 20223, the NBA returns tonight with a packed evening of action. We look to start the New Year with a bang as we dial in on three spots I’m on in the NBA tonight.

Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (1/2)

Lakers +1 (-110) vs. Hornets

Winning two of three to end 2022, the Lakers will look to build on some much-needed momentum as they are approaching the point of no return on this NBA season. In both of those wins, the Lakers’ offense was the storyline, scoring 129 and 130 points as things were clicking on all cylinders.

They’ll remain on the road for this one for the fifth time in five games to take on a Charlotte team they fell to the last time they were home, 134-130, on December 23rd. With LeBron James suited up tonight and the Hornets still dealing with a litany of injuries, I like for the Lake Show to take advantage.

76ers -4 (-110) vs. Pelicans

The Pelicans will make their second trip to Philly in less than four days, as they’ll play their third game in as many days. Fatigue appeared to be already catching up with them on New Year’s Eve, losing 101-116 on the road at Memphis.

For the 76ers, a two-game slide was stopped on New Year’s Eve, winning 115-96 over OKC for their eighth win in 10 games. One of the best home teams in the league at 14-5 (14-5 ATS), I like for the 76ers to have enough in this one as they take advantage of tired legs on the other side.

Warriors -1.5 (-110)

Despite their mediocre play to start the season, currently sitting just one game above .500, the Warriors have been a different team at home, going 16-2 (13-4-1 ATS) up to this point. The Hawks have also been mediocre, at best, currently sitting two games below .500 and with a road record of just 6-11 (6-11 ATS).

While Steph Curry remains out of the lineup until mid-January with a shoulder injury, the Warriors should have enough on the floor with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. I don’t expect Trae Young to be enough to beat this Warriors team, even with their injuries.
