What time is Germany vs Scotland? Date and kick-off time for Euro 2024 opener

Excitement is building as the Euro 2024 opener between Germany and Scotland kicks off the tournament on Friday. 

The hosts take on the Tartan Army to get this summer’s showpiece underway and Steve Clarke’s side are aiming for an early upset.

Scotland had a very strong qualification campaign and now want to translate that form into the group stages where they will face Germany, Switzerland and Hungary. 

Coming up against Julian Nagelsmann’s side will be tough though, with the hosts one of the favourites to go all the way on their home turf. 

Germany vs Scotland: Date and kick-off time

The Euro 2024 opener will take place on Friday, June 14. 

It will kick-off at 8pm and is being held at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Germany vs Scotland: Team news 

Germany will have Kai Havertz leading the line after Nagelsmann confirmed the Arsenal man’s role.

Toni Kroos is certain to start as he plays in the final few games of his career following his announcement that he wil retire after the tournament. 

For Scotland, Andrew Robertson and Lawrence Shankland both raised concerns after picking up knocks in training, however, they are not expected to miss any action.

Che Adams should start up front with Shankland and youngster Tommy Conway waiting in the wings for an opportunity.
