Scotland announce squad for T20 World Cup 2024

Scotland Cricket has announced its squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, with top-order batsman Michael Jones and fast bowler Brad Wheal returning to the team after their last appearance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.

While they won’t be part of the squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series in the Netherlands, they are included in the squad for the upcoming mega-event set to take place in the USA and West Indies next month.

Richie Berrington will lead the team, aiming to build on their performance from 2022, where they notably defeated the West Indies.

As part of their preparations, Scotland will engage in a tri-series with the Netherlands and Ireland starting from May 18.

In the T20 World Cup, Scotland is placed in Group B alongside England, Australia, Oman, and Namibia.

Scotland Squad: Richie Berrington (c), Matthew Cross, Brad Currie, Chris Greaves, Oli Hairs, Jack Jarvis, Michael Jones, Michael Leask, Brandon McMullen, George Munsey, Safyaan Sharif, Chris Sole, Charlie Tear, Mark Watt, Brad Wheal.
