Scotland Vs Finland Betting Tips

Scotland conclude their pre-Euro 2024 friendlies against Finland on Friday and The Panel aren’t expecting Steve Clarke’s men to chalk up the rousing result they could do after recent disappointments (7.45pm, BBC Three, BBC Scotland & Premier Sports).

A 2-0 victory over Gibraltar in Portugal on Monday did little to lift the gloom that has been in situ over the Scotland camp for some time now.

Clarke’s men toiled against the international minnows as they finally ended a seven-game winless run, but were dealt more injury woe when Liam Cooper limped, while Ben Doak has since withdrawn from the squad.

Doak joins the likes of Lyndon Dykes, Aaron Hickey, Nathan Patterson and Lewis Ferguson on a watching brief for the Euros, further limiting Clarke’s options.

Therefore, optimism levels could do with a boost a week out from facing host nation Germany in the first game of Euro 2024, and betting sites are confident the Scots can overcome Finland.

The Finns missed out on the Euros in the play-offs and are in a state of flux with head coach poised to move on Markku Kanerva.

For those following Finland lately, it’s not been dull, but the clash with Scotland is likely to be a more low-key encounter.

Scotland vs Finland Prediction: Scots Scoring Touch Still Missing

Scotland registered 24 attempts on goal against Gibraltar but scored only twice, passing up a glut of scoring chances

Lawrence Shankland blew his opportunity to prove he can lead the line in Germany with a low-key showing and the Scots are likely to put their faith in Che Adams for Friday’s game at Hampden Park.

Bristol City’s Tommy Conway has also been called up to give Clarke another option, but it’s hardly an attack that screams goals.

They should get chances against a Finland team that lost 4-2 to Portugal in a friendly on Tuesday and shipped four goals in their previous away trip to Wales, but whether Scotland can take them is another matter.

The Finns are a capable side on their day, but those days have become less frequent since they qualified for the last Euros and they are missing a few key men for Friday’s game.

Scotland should head to Germany on the back of a win but given their recent run of injuries, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if those in dark blue didn’t push themselves too hard.

Of Scotland’s last 15 wins, 13 have featured fewer than four goals and The Panel are happy to pair up the home side and under 3.5 goals at odds-against on football betting sites.

The Panel Tip 1: Scotland & Under 3.5 Goals – 23/20 With QuinnBet

Pukki A Nice Price

Finland were completely outplayed by Portugal in their most recent outing, registering just two attempts on goal.

Luckily for them Teemu Pukki took those shots and found the back of the net with both, taking him to 38 international goals.

He’s now scored four in five games for the Finns, yet can be backed at 4/1 to score any time in this match on betting apps.

Given how prolific he’s been at both domestic and international level, that seems like a big price, especially against a Scotland team that’s conceded 14 goals across their last six games.

But it’s worth noting Pukki has started the last two games on the bench and at 34, Finland seem to be preparing for life after the Minnesota United striker.

With his place in the team far from assured, The Panel have sidestepped the goalscorer market and opted for a bet on over 0.5 shots on target at 10/11.

Pukki has managed at least one shot on target in 10 of his last 16 appearances for Finland and can find his mark once more.
